Skin Response Meter

This is my circuit Skin Response Meter published in Electronics For You magazine June 2009 issue. This circuit tells you that whether your body is relaxed or not. It exploits the skin’s galvanic property to measure the stress level of the body. Even though the circuit do not measures the stress level precisely, it can be used as an indicator to know the stress level. Many relaxation techniques are now in practice to keep the body in relaxed condition. The circuit described here is useful to monitor the stress level before and after practicing a relaxation exercise. Full circuit in PDF

hello sir i am doing project on “SKIN RESPONSE METER” we refered to your circuit published in net and now we are in soldering stage i like to know about its full working, principle used, applications and its advantage , VU meter u have used its outdated and its not aavailable in shops, if i’m not using VU meter means what will happen and we can use any other meter other than VU meter ,i’m waiting for ur valuable reply

Sir, Ihad gone through your “Stress Meter” circuit published in EFY2005. I want to ask whether this circuit can be implemented using microcontroller 8051? Also which are the methods and what types of sensers are required to measure stress?

    hiii,
In this skin response meter ckt. can i use ic LM3914 instead of LM3915 n if i am not connecting vu meter than I should keep those terminals open or i hav to short ckt. it ?

You can use LM 3914. Pins are identical but the display will be linear not Logarithmical

    • D.Mohankumar 27 Apr 2010 / 4:27 pm

You can use LM3914 .Keep the points for VU meter unconnected
