The DC DC Booster 150 watts Module can be used convert 12 Volt DC to 35 Volt DC for various applications. It can be an ideal DC DC Booster to charge Laptop and Note book using 12 volt Car DC charger socket. It can also be used to increase the Solar output voltage in low light conditions. It gives maximum 6 Amps current .

We can connect a Digital Volt Ampere Meter in its output so that we can see the output voltage during the adjustment of Trimpot and can also see how much current the device is using.
Specifications of the DC DC Booster
Input voltage – 10 – 32 Volt DC
Output voltage – 12 – 35 volt DC
Output current – 6 Amps maximum
Input current – 10 Amps maximum.
It is specially designed as an adjustable vehicle power supply for 12 volt input. Out put can be adjusted from 12 volt to 35 volt DC. But output voltage cannot be less than the input voltage. That means, it can increase only 12 volt to 35 volts and need minimum 12 volt as input.

Notebook charging in Car
Connect the input of the Module to the 12 volt DC socket of car. Adjust the output voltage to 19 volts to charge the Note book. It gives 3.42 Amps current at 19 volts.
Increasing Solar panel voltage
12 Volt Solar panel gives around 22 volts in bright sunlight between 11 am and 3 pm. But it is less than 12 volt in the morning and evening hours which is not sufficient to charge the battery. This happens in rainy or cloudy days also. So this DC DC booster can help to increase the voltage from the solar panel.
Using 12 volt input to the module, set the output voltage to 16 volts. Connect the output wires of the solar panel to the input of the module. Connect battery in the output of module. So it can increase 4 volts than the output voltage from the solar panel.
If the output of solar panel is 8 volts, battery gets 12 volts for charging. If the output of solar panel increases to 12 volts, battery gets 16 volts. If the output of solar panel increases to 20 volts, battery gets 24 volts.
Actually the 22 volt output from the solar panel is the open circuit voltage when measuring using a Multimeter. It drops to around 16 volts when the battery is connected. So by using the DC DC booster with Solar panel battery gets sufficient voltage for charging from 8 am 5 pm.

A Digital Volt Ampere Meter is helpful to see the output voltage and load current from the DC DC booster module. Connect the meter as shown in the diagram.
